高二英语作文：A little thing happened in my winter holiday

In my winter holiday, there was nothing special. However, I did a job which was so unforgettable that I might bear it in my mind forever.

It was a common day but special to me. I woke up at about 9:00 as usual. As soon as I stopped myself, there was my mom sweeping the floor hard, really hard. I could even hear her breathe. Suddenly, I felt there was something strikes to my heart. I knew it was no use regretting my behavior, but there was still enough time to do something valuable. “Why is my mom so hard but I’m so lazy?” I complained to myself. Mom has suffered too much, isn’t it her right to get comfort? With my mind calming down, I decided to help my mom. With everything ready, I came to my mom” mom, May I give you a hand?” she was puzzled, I saw clearly that there was a big why written on her face. She refused then, but I took the mop myself and began my job, there was my mother standing, smiling. What I learned was that I knew mom was always trying her best to make the family warm, and I should let her know her son is always there supporting her.
