高二英语作文：My First Stay at Home

My first stay at home alone was unforgettable when I was ten. Once both of my parents would be away on business, and I had to be all alone for three days. My parents were a bit worried about me. To comfort them, I said I could take good care of myself.

My parents left early on the first day and I got up soon after they left. On the first Evening I suddenly found I was alone for the first time, and I was a little scared. Then I turned on all the lights. I actually kept them on the whole night. Sometimes I was so frightened that when the wind passed, I felt someone standing outside my window. That night I fell asleep so late that I was late for school. For fear of getting up late the next morning, I put three alarm clocks near my bed and set the alarms respectively at 6:00. In order to prove that I could take care of myself, I washed my own clothes the second afternoon. When my parents returned, I told them what I did. They praised me and really felt proud of me and thought I was a big boy.
