高一英语作文：Everything Has its Meaning

Today is 12th, February. The weather was colder and colder, but I felt happier and happier. It was because the Spring Festival was coming.

It was a little bit boring, so I turned on the TV set and began to watch the wonderful programs. However, my mother was busy with housework, cleaning the windows, mopping the floor and making the bed. It was not until I turned up the TV that my mother asked me to help her. I was ashamed that I didn’t help her actively. So I decided to try my best to clean the house.

I used a piece of cloth with water to clean the windows. The windows were so dirty that I cleaned them at least three times. When I saw the bright windows, I smiled with delight. After a short rest, I began to clean my bedroom. I made the bed, cleaned the bookshelves and mopped the floor. After that, it was cleaner than before. I felt happy rather than tired.

I got happiness from the cleaning. In addition, I was looking forward to the coming of the Spring Festival.

Once you devote yourself to doing something, you will find the real meaning of it.
